Sánchez heads to Ceuta as military backs Civil Guard amid migration chaos

Spain deployed military units to Ceuta to support the Civil Guard after thousands of migrants forced their way in from Morocco. Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced he would visit the city personally to meet local authorities and restore normality as quickly as possible. At least 19 people died attempting to swim to the enclave, and authorities also closed the border with Melilla after 300–400 migrants entered from Morocco.
