Polish minister rules out raising retirement age — calls proposal "absurd"

Minister of Family and Labour Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk flatly rejected any increase in the retirement age, calling the idea absurd. She was responding to Minister Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, who suggested childless women should retire at the same age as men. Dziemianowicz-Bąk stressed that such public statements cause fear and anxiety among citizens.
