Broad Peak avalanche: 4 dead, Nirmal Purja among 7 missing

An avalanche on Broad Peak (8,051 m) in Pakistan killed four climbers, whose bodies were found at the base of the mountain. A large-scale search-and-rescue operation is underway for six other missing mountaineers, including world-renowned Himalayan climber Nirmal "Nims" Purja. Rescue helicopters are operating in the area.
