After Morawiecki quits PiS, two MEPs vie to lead European Conservatives

Mateusz Morawiecki's departure from PiS also means he is stepping down as chair of the European Conservatives and Reformers (ECR) group. Two PiS MEPs are now in contention to replace him. The choice made by party leader Kaczyński is expected to signal the future direction of PiS.
