11-year-old Bodhana Sivanandan breaks Judit Polgar's world age record by five months

English schoolgirl Bodhana Sivanandan, aged 11 and from Harrow, set a new world age record in chess by becoming the youngest girl ever to achieve an International Master result. She accomplished this at the Dole Trophy tournament in Aix-en-Provence, France, beating Judit Polgar's longstanding record by nearly five months. Polgar set her record in April 1988 in New York, aged 11 years and nine months.
