Lukashenko to send negligent farm workers to military-style camps

Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko announced that agricultural workers deemed negligent or in breach of work discipline during the harvest will be sent to two- or three-month military-educational camps. The new measure targets farm employees who, according to authorities, fail to meet their obligations during harvest season. The scheme is intended to improve agricultural output.
