From September 2026: new rules for drivers – zero alcohol limit and 5-year licence ban

New traffic rules will come into force in Poland in September 2026. Novice drivers will face a probationary period and a strict zero-alcohol limit. Driving while a licence is temporarily suspended will risk the loss of all driving privileges for five years.
