Two firefighters killed as wildfires rage across Crete, aircraft join response

Two firefighters were killed battling wildfires on the Greek island of Crete as strong winds rapidly spread the blaze. Aircraft joined the firefighting effort as thousands were evacuated from the Rethymno region. The fires are part of a broader wave of severe wildfires hitting Greece.
