Andromeda galaxy has been forming fewer stars for 500 million years, Hubble finds
Data from the Hubble Space Telescope reveals that star formation in the Andromeda Galaxy has been steadily declining for roughly 500 million years. Researchers also noted that over the past 40 million years, the rate of decline has become even more pronounced.
