ABC Accuses FCC of Unprecedented Media Intimidation Campaign
ABC filed a 109-page response to the FCC, arguing that the expedited license renewal review of eight of its local stations is retaliation for its coverage of Donald Trump and his administration. Lawyers for the Disney-owned network wrote that "the retaliation against ABC is a signal to every media company: accommodate the administration's view of news coverage or pay the price." The FCC process was triggered by petitions from conservative media groups seeking to deny ABC's broadcast licenses.
