EU Extends Ukraine Refugee Protection to 2028, Excludes Men of Conscription Age

EU member states officially approved Thursday an extension of temporary protection for Ukrainian refugees by one year, until 4 March 2028. The decision also excludes men of conscription age from the protection scheme. The measure will take effect within the coming days.
