UN warns 'intense' El Niño will be a 'double blow' for Latin America

A UN official has warned that an intense El Niño will be a "double blow" for Latin America. The US Climate Prediction Center has estimated an 81% probability of a "very strong" El Niño, potentially ranking among the most severe since 1950.
