Over 20 groups exempt from Poland's health levy — up to 10 million people pay nothing
Nearly 30 percent of Poland's population — up to 10 million people — pay no health insurance contribution while still benefiting from the public healthcare system. Experts identify more than 20 privileged groups exempt from the levy. The Ministry of Health has announced a review of the system this year to assess whether the exemptions remain justified.
