Over 120 Tourists Trapped by Blizzard in Argentine Andes

A powerful blizzard trapped more than 120 tourists in the Argentine Andes as they were heading to the Balcón del Pissis viewpoint, located several thousand metres above sea level. Extreme weather conditions initially prevented rescue teams from reaching those trapped. Emergency responders ultimately needed almost 24 hours to clear the snow and free tourists from their frozen vehicles.
