Federal judge rejects 26 states' bid to halt Medicaid work requirements
A federal judge on Thursday denied a request by 26 states to postpone the implementation of Medicaid work requirements announced by the Trump administration in June. The changes are targeted to take effect on January 1, though states must notify Medicaid recipients of how the changes may affect them by August 31. The broader lawsuit filed by the 26 states remains ongoing.
