Russian Deputy Minister Arrested for Fraud Over Drone Procurement — Drones Came from China

Russian authorities have arrested Alla Połowczenia, deputy head of the unmanned systems and robotics department at the Ministry of Industry and Trade, on charges of embezzling public funds linked to drone procurement. The scandal revealed that drones supplied as Russian-made were in fact sourced from China. The arrest took place despite close oversight by the Kremlin.
