New euro banknotes to feature real people — EU citizens get a vote on the design

The European Central Bank has presented two design concepts for new euro banknotes, departing from the current bridges motif. One concept, "European Culture," features prominent figures including Beethoven and Leonardo da Vinci, with a Polish Nobel laureate also among the designs. EU citizens will vote to decide which concept wins.
