Hospital Emergency Chief Earned 600,000 PLN a Year While Working Remotely

The head of the Emergency Department at the Provincial Hospital in Bielsko-Biała earned 600,000 PLN in one year while simultaneously running the emergency ward in Świdnica, the daily Rzeczpospolita reported. The doctor performed some of his duties in Bielsko-Biała remotely under a contract arrangement. The case raises questions about the terms of employment in Poland's public healthcare system.
