Poland's European Athletics squad for Birmingham named — shot putter Bukowiecki left out

The European Athletics Championships in Birmingham begin in a week and a half. Poland's squad includes Ewa Swoboda, Pia Skrzyszowska, Natalia Bukowiecka and Anita Włodarczyk, all medal contenders. However, Konrad Bukowiecki — one of the greatest shot putters in Polish athletics history — has been left out and will not defend his medal from the previous edition in Rome.
