Cooler Weather and Rain Bring Hope to Wildfire-Ravaged Southwest France

Higher humidity, cooler temperatures and an expected rainfall brought cautious optimism to southwestern France, where wildfires have burned an area four times the size of Paris in recent weeks. Local officials reported a "rather calm" night, with the fire contained within the 42,000 hectares already affected. France 24's Carys Garland reported from Lanton.
