Poland's NIK audit office warns of fiscal risk, urges deficit cuts
The head of Poland's Supreme Audit Office (NIK), Mariusz Haładyj, told parliament the country must gradually and concretely address its growing fiscal imbalance. NIK warned that inaction risks forcing abrupt and costly corrections in the future and undermines the state's capacity to respond to crises. The office is calling for timely measures to curb both the deficit and rising public debt.
