Electric drone hits nearly 700 km/h — a record for battery-powered aircraft

A German company is testing a battery-powered drone capable of reaching speeds of nearly 700 km/h, making it the fastest electric drone in the world. Despite the achievement, it still falls short of military drones in terms of top speed. The gap between civilian and military drone capabilities is nonetheless narrowing rapidly.
