Salman Rushdie's attacker convicted of terrorism offences for aiding Hezbollah

Hadi Matar, 28, has been convicted of attempting to aid Hezbollah through his attack on British-Indian author Salman Rushdie. Matar stabbed Rushdie multiple times during a public event in 2022. The court found him guilty of terrorism offences related to the assault.
