Volhynia exhumations: remains of 53 victims of 1943 massacre found so far

Exhumations have been under way since 14 July at the sites of the former villages of Ostrówki and Wola Ostrowiecka in Volhynia, Ukraine, where Ukrainian nationalists murdered Polish civilians in August 1943. Poland's Ministry of Culture and National Heritage reported that the remains of 53 people have been recovered so far. Work is scheduled to conclude on 7 August.
