Pope Leo XIV reveals his ancestors included both slaves and slave owners

Pope Leo XIV told NBC News for the first time on camera that on his mother's side, his ancestors included both people who were enslaved and slave owners. The Chicago-born pope also expressed hope for a future trip to the United States.
