NATO drills test troop transfer through Suwalki Gap via Poland
NATO conducted exercises to test the rapid transfer of troops and equipment from Germany to Lithuania, with Poland — and specifically the Suwalki Gap — playing a central role. The Suwalki Gap is a strategically critical corridor between Belarus and the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad. The drills were designed to assess the Alliance's ability to reinforce its eastern flank quickly.
