Fauci's diaries slam Markson's lab-leak book as 'a bunch of nonsense'
Anthony Fauci, the US's former chief medical adviser, has called investigative journalist Sharri Markson's book backing the COVID-19 lab-leak theory "a bunch of nonsense" in his newly released diaries. The 85-year-old was this week subpoenaed by Republican Senator Rand Paul to testify before a Senate hearing into the pandemic and his handling of it. Fauci said Markson's reporting on the virus's origin "does not make any sense."
