European gas prices 50% above pre-Iran-strike levels — Polish households shielded until year-end
European gas prices are more than 50% above pre-Iran-strike levels, with the Dutch TTF hub trading above €50/MWh, down from over €60/MWh a week ago. Polish households are protected by a frozen tariff of 197.29 PLN/MWh until the end of the year. Energy market expert Maciej Markowski warns that a prolonged, multi-month price rise on global markets would inevitably feed through to future tariffs.
