Polish prosecutor: DNA genealogy cracked the murder of 13-year-old Iza after 15 years
Prosecutor Michał Gabriel-Węglowski, who oversaw the investigation into the murder of 13-year-old Izabela Strzałkowska, revealed it was one of the first cases in Europe to successfully use genetic genealogy to identify a killer. He described tracking down the murderer after fifteen years as "something extraordinary" and said the case opened a new chapter in Polish forensic science.
