Polish schools face staffing crisis: 20,000 teacher vacancies, 300,000 unfilled lessons

Poland faces a severe teacher shortage, with the Polish Teachers' Union estimating up to 20,000 vacancies and around 300,000 unfilled teaching hours. School principals are increasingly resorting to overtime, hiring retired teachers and employing people without full teaching qualifications to plug the gap.
