Poland's eastern border fortifications cover just a few km of a 744 km frontier

French analyst Clement Molin assessed Poland's border defences along the Russian and Belarusian frontier, and a Polish journalist's on-the-ground inspection confirmed the findings are worse than reported. Real fortifications exist along only a few kilometres of the 744 km border with Russia, Belarus and Lithuania at the Suwałki Gap. This is especially alarming given that the Suwałki Gap is considered the most strategically critical point on NATO's eastern flank.
