46,000 driving bans issued this year — repeat offenders keep driving

Polish courts and authorities have issued 46,000 driving bans so far this year, according to data obtained by Rzeczpospolita. As many as 36,000 people hold more than one ban, and over 50 drivers have accumulated ten or more. The problem centres largely on drunk and drug-impaired drivers who routinely ignore the bans imposed on them.
