Hadi Matar convicted of terror offences for attack on Salman Rushdie

Hadi Matar, 28, was convicted of terror offences for attacking British-Indian author Salman Rushdie in an attempt to aid Hezbollah. A court found him guilty on terrorism-related charges. Rushdie survived the attack but suffered serious injuries, including permanent loss of sight in one eye.
