Meta ad partner in China linked to Instagram and Facebook ads for AI nudify apps

Ads for AI "nudify" apps — tools that generate fake explicit images — have appeared on Instagram and Facebook, and have been traced to GatherOne, one of Meta's 11 official advertising partners in China. The discovery raises serious questions about Meta's vetting of its ad partners and content moderation practices. Meta has not yet publicly responded to the findings.
