Salman Rushdie's attacker convicted in terrorism trial

The man who stabbed author Salman Rushdie in 2022 has been convicted in a terrorism trial. Rushdie suffered 15 stab wounds just before he was due to deliver a speech on writers' safety, in front of a stunned audience. The author survived the attack despite serious injuries.
