Qualcomm raising chip prices from September 1st — phones to cost more

Qualcomm CEO Cristiano Amon confirmed that the company will raise prices on all its processors starting September 1st. The chip price hikes come on top of rising RAM costs, adding further pressure that will push up the retail prices of smartphones for consumers.
