Lech's collapse against Aarhus is historically unprecedented in Polish European football

Lech Poznań were eliminated from Champions League qualifying on penalties by Aarhus GF despite leading 4:1 after the first leg. Journalist Wojciech Frączek calculated that no Polish club has ever thrown away such a large aggregate lead in European competition. Lech even led in extra time before losing the shootout.
