UEFA calls emergency meeting over Infantino's World Cup privatisation plan
UEFA has called an emergency meeting of all 55 member associations for Thursday to coordinate a response to FIFA president Gianni Infantino's plan to sell stakes in the World Cup to private investors. A boycott of FIFA tournaments — including next year's Women's World Cup — is among options under discussion. Some officials are reluctant to let the women's game suffer over a dispute centred on monetising the men's World Cup and Club World Cup.
