Crete wildfires: two firefighters dead, five villages evacuated

Two firefighters were killed fighting a large wildfire near Rethymno in northern Crete, local authorities confirmed. The blaze forced the evacuation of five nearby villages. Fires are also burning on other Greek islands and on the Greek mainland.
