Two firefighters killed battling wildfires in Crete; five villages evacuated

Two firefighters were killed battling a large wildfire near Rethymno in northern Crete, local authorities confirmed. The blaze forced the evacuation of five villages in the area. Wildfires are also burning on other Greek islands and in mainland Greece.
