Google rolls out age verification API in Play Store — no ID required, uses Family Link

Google has announced a global beta rollout of its Play Age Signals API, allowing app developers to verify a user's age range without requiring an ID or selfie. The system relies on the existing Family Link app, where parents set an age range for their child's managed account (e.g. 16–17), and apps tailor content accordingly. The ranges update dynamically as the child gets older.
