Poland joins European wildfire response with military aircraft on standby

Poland will join the international effort to help European regions battling widespread wildfires from Saturday, EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced. Polish military aircraft crews are on standby. Romania and Greece have decided to extend their firefighting missions.
