Factorial and SK On to test mass production of solid-state batteries

Factorial Energy has partnered with Hyundai supplier SK On to test whether solid-state batteries can be manufactured on existing lithium-ion production lines. This is considered one of the biggest hurdles to mass-market solid-state batteries, as dedicated production methods are currently too expensive. The two companies aim to prove new factories are not required for the transition.
