Google Wallet broken on Pixel after Android 17 update – fix rolling out

An Android 17 update caused some Pixel phones to show a "Phone doesn't meet security requirements" error in Google Wallet, blocking contactless payments and card enrollment. Affected devices still passed Play Integrity checks and remained Play Protect certified, making the bug particularly confusing. Google has rolled out a server-side fix; users are advised to restart their phone and wait up to 24 hours for it to take effect.
