GOOSE tool enables design of thousands of disordered protein sequences at once

Researchers developed the GOOSE tool, which enables the design and simultaneous testing of thousands of intrinsically disordered protein region (IDR) sequences, uncovering distinct sequence-to-function relationships. The approach opens new avenues in protein engineering and biomedical research. The findings were published in Nature on 29 July 2026.
