Nanopore method sequences peptides one amino acid at a time

A nanopore-based "chop and measure" technique sequences peptides at single-amino-acid resolution. Enzymatic digestion progressively shortens the peptide from its N-terminus one residue at a time, while the nanopore repeatedly reads the exposed end. The method could enable rapid, high-resolution protein sequencing.
