Germany's public debt hits €2.66 trillion — €31,887 per capita

Germany's public debt reached approximately €2.66 trillion at the end of 2025, a 6% increase year-on-year, according to Deutsche Welle. Per capita, that amounts to €31,887 (around 138,000 PLN), or €1,821 more than the previous year. The rising debt reflects the government's increased spending on defence and infrastructure.
