France wildfires: Volunteers rescue pets left behind by evacuees in Gironde

Wildfires in the Gironde region of southwestern France, covering an area four times the size of Paris, have forced thousands to evacuate their homes. Many evacuees were unable to take their pets with them. Volunteers are conducting rescue operations to save abandoned cats, dogs and horses.
