Hungary's Paks nuclear plant shuts reactor as Danube hits record low water level

Hungarian nuclear plant operator MVM announced on Wednesday that one of the four reactors at the Paks facility has been shut down due to a record-low water level in the Danube, which supplies the plant's cooling water. The shutdown means the plant has lost around 40% of its total capacity. The low river level is a result of prolonged drought.
