BMW to cut up to 8,000 jobs with voluntary redundancy offer to German staff

BMW plans to cut around 8,000 jobs, offering voluntary redundancy to nearly half of its German workforce. It is one of the largest headcount reduction programmes in the Bavarian carmaker's history.
